Gins Auto Centre – Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern all work, services, repairs, and parts supplied by Gins Auto Centre (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the customer (“you”, “your”). By authorising work to be carried out, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Estimates and Authorisation

1.1 Any estimate provided is an approximation only and not a fixed price unless stated in writing. 1.2 Additional work identified after commencement will not be carried out without your approval. 1.3 Authorisation may be given verbally, in writing, or electronically.

2. Payment Terms

2.1 Full payment is due upon completion of work and before vehicle collection, unless otherwise agreed in writing. 2.2 We reserve the right to retain the vehicle until payment has been made in full. 2.3 Late or unpaid balances may be subject to additional charges or recovery costs where permitted by law.

3. Parts and Warranty

3.1 Parts Warranty: All supplied and fitted parts are covered for up to 12 months or 12,000 miles (whichever occurs first) against manufacturing defects only. 3.2 Labour is not included in the parts warranty. Any labour required to remove or refit parts under warranty will be chargeable to the customer. 3.3 The warranty does not cover fair wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage, neglect, improper installation by third parties, or failure due to related component faults. 3.4 Electrical and electronic parts are non-refundable once fitted unless proven faulty. 3.5 Customer-supplied parts are fitted at the customer’s own risk and are not covered by any warranty.

4. Labour and Workmanship

4.1 All work is carried out with reasonable care and skill in accordance with industry standards. 4.2 Labour charges are based on time spent and complexity of the work. 4.3 Any rework required due to issues unrelated to our workmanship will be chargeable.

5. Vehicle Condition and Liability

5.1 We are not responsible for pre-existing faults, damage, or wear present prior to commencement of work. 5.2 We are not liable for loss or damage to personal items left in the vehicle. 5.3 Test drives may be carried out where necessary as part of diagnostics or repair verification.

6. Delays and Unforeseen Circumstances

6.1 We are not responsible for delays caused by parts availability, supplier delays, or circumstances beyond our control. 6.2 Completion times provided are estimates only.

7. Cancellations and Storage

7.1 Work cancelled after commencement may incur charges for labour already carried out and parts ordered. 7.2 Vehicles not collected within a reasonable time after notification of completion may be subject to storage charges.

8. Complaints and Disputes

8.1 Any complaints must be reported as soon as reasonably possible to allow us the opportunity to inspect and rectify the issue. 8.2 These Terms and Conditions are governed by applicable local laws, and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the local courts.

9. Acceptance

By authorising work or collecting your vehicle, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
